  • Learner Outcomes

    As a result of the course, the participant will be able to: 1. Identify infants at risk for and with existing developmental, feeding and swallowing problems. 2. Describe clinical assessments of the infant and family for feeding and swallowing problems, including neurodevelopment assessments. 3. List intervention techniques for the infant's feeding and swallowing problems using current evidence-based practice. 4. Identify environmental factors that may impact development, feeding, and swallowing within the NICU setting. 5. Describe modifications that can be made to the NICU environment to improve outcomes related to development, communication, cognition, and feeding.
